Help Us Help Families Facing Childhood Cancer

Please join us in supporting families facing childhood cancer. The toll that childhood cancer takes on the entire family is a burden that is unimaginable.

Many of you already know that we began Be The Rainbow Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, this year after our daughter Charlotte’s 5 year long journey battling Stage IV Neuroblastoma. After fighting and overcoming cancer twice, she is now 8 years old. And although her story is still being written, we are working hard to help give back and support other families facing the hardships that come with this fight. Be The Rainbow Foundation strives to become a part of a family's village and support them in any way during treatment, recovery, and beyond.

Help us partner with more families, maximize our giving to these families, and collaborate with more family support organizations.

During September's Childhood Cancer Awareness month, participate in Be The Rainbow Foundation's HAIR DARE CHALLENGE! This is going to be a fun way to help us increase our impact and share our mission. We are asking all of you in our village to rally your friends, family, coworkers, and networks to support our mission. By becoming a fundraiser for Be the Rainbow Foundation, you will help us support even more families who are facing the unimaginable, spread our mission, and help others become a part of something very special.

Joining our fundraiser is easy to do, and it's fun. We'll give you all the tools you'll need such as your own fundraising webpage and templates for email and social media posts. With your help we can partner with more families, maximize our giving to these families, and collaborate with more family support organizations.

HERE IS THE HAIR DARE CHALLENGE! Remember--it's just hair! Charlotte lost her hair (twice even!) as do so many children who are fighting cancer. Set a fundraising goal, raise that amount by the end of September (September is childhood cancer awareness month!), and then SHARE YOUR HAIR DARE! You could post photos, a video, a reel, or go Live on social media completing the hair dare! You could also tag a friend on social media, daring them to participate in our hair dare challenge! Have fun while helping to share our mission and help us financially increase our impact. AND WE HAVE FUN AND FANTASTIC PRIZES FOR OUR TOP YOUTH AND TOP ADULT FUNDRAISERS...YOU MAY WIN A CUSTOMIZED BOBBLE HEAD OF YOURSELF DISPLAYING YOUR HAIR DARE CHALLENGE OR EVEN THE COVETED GOLDEN WIG TROPHY (winner keeps the golden wig trophy until the next annual Hair Dare Challenge and will relinquish it to the next year's winner).

We encourage all ages-youth, adults, or somewhere in between:) Form a team with a group of friends, coworkers, or your own family and do this together as a team! We would love any and all to join in!

Here are just a few hair dare ideas below but feel free to make it your own!

-color your hair GOLD for childhood cancer awareness month (temporary hair coloring is fine too!)

-color hair any color for a specific pediatric cancer (purple for neuroblastoma, orange for leukemia, gold for sarcoma, grey for brain tumors, blue/turquoise for Charlotte's favorite color, etc)

-shear designs/hair tattoo, buzz, mohawk, or shave it all (we love St. Baldrick's too!)

-rainbow hair colors for Be The Rainbow Foundation

-Hey men--shave your legs or dye your leg hair! Do you have facial hair like a beard or mustache you could shave or dye??

-Color just the tips or some strands of your hair

-Go for a brand new hair style/cut! (long locks? cut and donate to Children with Hair Loss or Wigs for Kids!)

-Add hair extensions or clip-ons

-Perm?!?!

Go as BOLD and as DARING as you dare! Or keep it simple and just have some fun!

We can’t wait to see your new HAIR and to share all the wonderful ways you will help us help other families!
